Liberia: USAID Suspends Support for EcoHealth

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has suspended its support to the EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), effectively halting ongoing conservation projects in Liberia. In a letter addressed to U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, USAID confirmed that it suspended additional funding to EHA for its Conservation Works Activity in Liberia on May 15, 2024.

Liberia: Government and Partners Validate Li

In mid-September, a two-day multi-sectoral technical working group convened at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection in Monrovia to validate the final draft of Liberia’s Country Report on Beijing+30. This marks a significant milestone as Liberia reflects on its progress 30 years after the landmark Beijing Conference on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
